Which device

Android phones, Windows PCs and Macs. There is no app for iPhone or iPad, Apple does not allow this wallet in the App Store.

Install

  1. Android: open this page on the phone, tap Download APK, then open the file. Android asks to allow installs from your browser or file manager, allow it once. The Google Play version opens only for accounts on our tester list, and Play and APK versions do not install over each other.
  2. Windows: run the installer. Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" because the test build is not signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Mac: open the DMG and drag Wreck Wallet into Applications.

Set up your wallet

  1. Create a new wallet. The app shows 24 recovery words in a list that scrolls. Scroll to the end and write all 24 on paper, the app asks for some of them, words 23 and 24 included. Nobody can restore them for you.
  2. Set a PIN. You enter it each time the app opens.
  3. Everything runs on the Sepolia test network. Balances are test tokens with no real value.

Get test USDC

  1. In the wallet, copy your wallet address, the long code starting with 0x.
  2. Open faucet.circle.com, pick USDC and the network Ethereum Sepolia. Any other network sends the tokens somewhere the wallet cannot see.
  3. Paste your address and press Send. The faucet allows one request every 2 hours.
  4. The USDC shows in the wallet within a minute.

Seed USDC into WRECK

WRECK comes from seeding, not from Swap. Swap shows "No liquidity" for WRECK, that is expected.

  1. On the wallet page press Seed.
  2. Enter a little less than your whole USDC balance, for example 10 out of 20. The network fee comes out of your USDC, so seeding all of it fails with "Deposit failed".
  3. Confirm. The WRECK appears in your balance within seconds.

Join the members area

  1. Seed first. Sign-up needs at least 1 WRECK in the wallet, without it the sign-up fails and the form empties.
  2. Sign in from the app, fill in your name and country and accept the terms.
  3. Say hello, follow people, send a message or a little WRECK to another tester.

Update to a new version

Check that your 24 recovery words are on paper before every update. A new version keeps your wallet, the words are your backup if anything goes wrong.

  1. Android APK: download the new APK from this page and open it. It installs over the old one.
  2. Google Play: updates arrive through Play.
  3. Windows: close Wreck Wallet, download the new installer and run it.
  4. Mac: quit Wreck Wallet, open the new DMG, drag Wreck Wallet into Applications and choose Replace.

Report a problem

  1. Take a screenshot.
  2. Write what you pressed, what you expected and what happened, plus your device and the app version.
  3. Post it in the testers group. Every report goes into the issue board.
